AMD teases FSR Redstone ML graphics suite with four neural rendering features

AMD launches FSR Redstone as a machine learning powered suite for developers seeking enhanced game performance. The technology delivers four distinct FidelityFX neural rendering capabilities designed for visual improvements. RX 9000 graphics cards will support these advanced features when they become available later this year. FidelityFX SDK 1.1.4 contains the updated FSR version 3.1.4 alongside these new developments. Developers gain access to sophisticated tools that combine artificial intelligence with traditional rendering methods.

Neural Radiance Caching teaches models to understand light behavior for real-time global illumination predictions. ML Ray Regeneration processes noisy low-sample renders to eliminate grain while reducing computational costs. ML Super Resolution reconstructs lower resolution images into higher quality outputs during gameplay. ML Frame Generation creates additional frames between actual rendered ones to boost performance metrics. These four technologies target ray tracing improvements and overall visual fidelity enhancements.

FSR 3.1.4 provides bug corrections and introduces digitally signed upgradable DLL files for seamless updates. Games can transition to FSR 4 through simple DLL replacement rather than complete integration processes. Unreal Engine 5.6 receives dedicated plugins for both FSR 3.1.4 and Anti-Lag 2 functionality.
