Animal Collective Returns with New Single Love On The Big Screen

Animal Collective returns with a new single after releasing their last studio album "Isn't It Now?" two years ago. The band contributed songs to benefit albums for Hurricane Helene victims and Los Angeles wildfire relief during their break. Band members Panda Bear, Avey Tare and Geologist each released solo projects during this period. The group also celebrated the 20th anniversary of "Sung Tongs" with a special reissue. Their comeback track "Love On The Big Screen" brings back their signature psychedelic pop sound.

The new song features the band's trademark wandering melodies wrapped in fuzzy and distorted production. Animal Collective plans to release a limited edition vinyl single that includes an unreleased B-side track called "Buddies On The Blackboard." Fans must wait until the official release date to hear the second song. Avey Tare teamed up with Adam McDaniel to produce both tracks for the upcoming release.

McDaniel recorded and mixed the songs at his Drop Of Sun Studios located in Asheville. Dave Cooley handled the mastering process for both recordings. Danny Perez created a visual accompaniment for "Love On The Big Screen" that fans can watch online. Domino Records will distribute the single on August 1st. The release marks Animal Collective's return to group recordings after focusing on individual projects.
