Anwar to address Gaza crisis at Arab Islamic summit in Doha

Malaysian leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will address the Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit to criticize recent Israeli military actions against Hamas officials in Doha. The Prime Minister plans to speak at 6 pm local time on September 15, emphasizing Malaysia's support for Palestinian rights. Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani extended the invitation for this special gathering. Officials from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will attend the emergency session. Leaders from Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, and Palestine have confirmed their participation.

Anwar arrived at Hamad International Airport on September 14 evening and received ceremonial honors from Qatari forces. Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani welcomed the Malaysian delegation upon arrival. Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and religious affairs officials accompany the Prime Minister. The summit agenda focuses on Gaza developments and the recent Doha attack that killed six people. Participants will discuss collective responses through a final statement.
