Qatar blasts Israel at Doha summit over deadly strike on Hamas officials

Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani condemned international double standards regarding Israel during Sunday's preparatory meeting. The session preceded an emergency Arab-Islamic summit that Qatar organized following Israeli airstrikes against Hamas officials in Doha. Sheikh Mohammed characterized the Israeli actions as state terrorism and demanded accountability for what he termed ongoing crimes against Palestinians. The attack killed six individuals, comprising five Hamas members and one Qatari security officer, while Qatar hosted ceasefire negotiations with Israeli knowledge.

The Qatari leader emphasized his nation's continued commitment to mediation efforts alongside Egypt and the United States despite the sovereignty violation. Foreign ministers from Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states gathered for the emergency summit to address the September 9 incident. Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan joined other regional officials in denouncing the strikes. The Kingdom reinforced its solidarity with Qatar while demanding international accountability measures against Israel for violating Qatari sovereignty and international law.
