APC chieftain demands marine police base in Agwara

Terrorists are treating the River Niger like a personal highway while locals die. Jonathan Vatsa demanded a military base in Agwara to stop these attacks. He insists the federal government must deploy marine police immediately. This plea follows a massacre where forty-two traders perished at Kasunwa Deji Market in Borgu.

The APC chieftain claims criminals use the waterway for easy escapes after hitting targets. He pointed out that Agwara sits right on the river corridor. Bad actors seemingly transit through there without any resistance. Vatsa spoke with Minna regarding the urgent need to block this specific transit route.

He referenced a nasty attack at St. Mary Catholic Missionary School in Papiri. Constant kidnapping and violence have left residents terrified. Intelligence reports confirm bandits exploit the river to flee after raids. Insecurity currently wrecks agriculture and destroys commerce between states.

Vatsa argues the state cannot handle this mess solo. He wants federal intervention to secure the riverine community. Protecting the area would supposedly bring back investors. The politician believes a naval presence remains the only way to deny access to these violent groups.
