Bansko marks 113 years of freedom 34 years late

Bansko marked 113 years since its liberation on Saturday. The Bulgarian city began celebrations earlier in the week with a photo exhibition showing the first days and years of freedom that arrived in the Pirin region 34 years late. The Museum Complex in Bansko maintains an archive of photos, letters, and documents that grows each year. One preserved letter shows Sofia residents inquiring about life under freedom from their Bansko relatives.
