Barzani touts new safety guide as Kurdistan tightens rules

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani launched new safety standards on Saturday after a four-year development process. The Kurdistan Safety Guide establishes protection protocols for buildings, warehouses, gas stations, and residential areas across the region. Officials designed the comprehensive manual to prevent disasters, and reduce technical errors that cause human casualties and property damage.

The ninth cabinet invested heavily in advanced technology for police forces, and civil defense teams during recent reforms. Speed camera installations decreased traffic accidents by 50 percent while reducing deaths and serious injuries by more than 60 percent. Government data shows the prevention-focused approach saves lives, and prevents major financial losses for citizens.

Barzani urged residents to follow Ministry of Interior safety instructions, and traffic regulations for community protection. The prime minister emphasized that government success requires citizen cooperation and compliance with new safety protocols.
