BEATSURFING just rolled out a major upgrade for their CHEat code multi-effects plugin. The company pushed version 1.2.1 live with loads of fresh features that music producers have been asking for. The update brings a much wider interface that makes room for brand new macro modulation controls. Users can control each macro with envelope followers from seven different sources or shape them with five different LFO patterns. The plugin creators also added full automation support for every single module parameter inside popular music software.
The team added hover tooltips that show descriptions when users move their mouse over module animations. A new macro scope display lets people watch their macro values change in real time. Bypassed modules show up as still black and white images that can be automated from the host software. The update includes fresh presets marked with the Mod prefix that showcase the new modulation features. Musicians can right-click the edit button to wipe all macro mappings clean.
The developers fixed several annoying bugs that were slowing down workflows. They improved the settings interface and made the shader animations run much smoother. The clear button works better and resets both macro and global settings. Logic Pro users can load the plugin on mono tracks without crashes. Moving modules around keeps their macro mappings intact. The team also fixed those jagged curves that appeared on module XY widgets.
