Bindura Robbery Gang Jailed for 38 Years

A gang of robbers in Bindura has been caught and punished. Three men who committed armed robberies will serve 38 years in jail. The robbers were Ladma Mutesa, Tapiwa Nyakudya, and Sande Saini. They are all in their 30s.

The men broke into homes and stole things from people in Nyakudya Mazarura Village. They worked with three other men who hadn't been caught yet. The gang first struck on April 21, 2024. They broke into a house at night using iron bars while six people were sleeping inside.

The robbers were mean to the people in the house. They tied up their victims with wire and took their phones. They also stole food, house items, and $350 in cash.

The very next night, they hit another house in the same village. This time, they tricked their way in by saying they were police officers. When someone came home in a Toyota van, the gang jumped him. They beat him up and tied him to a pole in a pigsty. They tried to steal his van but couldn't get far because it broke down.

The police caught the first robber on April 23 after someone told them where he was. He then helped the police find his two friends. The gang had stolen $15,450 worth of stuff. The good news is that the police got most of it back - about $13,450.
