Budget Flip 7 FE Stuck With Dated Exynos 2400 Chip

Samsung plans to use its Exynos 2400 chip for the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE model. The company aims to save money with this older processor instead of using the newer Exynos 2500 or Snapdragon 8 Elite. This choice shows Samsung wants to make a cheaper foldable phone for more buyers. Recent test scores reveal the phone scored 1,930 for single-core tasks and 6,276 for multi-core performance. The device will come with just 8GB of memory, according to leaked information.

The Exynos 2400 performs well but cannot match the top chips from Qualcomm. Samsung appears to have a clear strategy for its different phone models this year. The regular Galaxy Z Flip 7 might get the newer Exynos 2500 chip for better speed. The premium Galaxy Z Fold 7 will likely keep the fastest Snapdragon chip as its main selling point. Samsung needs to improve its chips if it wants to keep making less expensive foldable phones every year. Creating more affordable folding phones could help Samsung reach more customers who want these devices.
