Chadwick Boseman to be honored with Hollywood star

Chadwick Boseman will receive a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with his widow Simone Ledward-Boseman accepting the honor. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce plans to livestream the ceremony through WalkOfFame.com, featuring speeches from Viola Davis and Ryan Coogler. The star will be installed at 6904 Hollywood Boulevard.

The actor earned acclaim for his portrayals of historical figures, including Jackie Robinson, James Brown, and Thurgood Marshall, before becoming a global phenomenon as T'Challa in the Marvel franchise. His performance in Captain America and the standalone superhero film earned him both an NAACP Image Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award alongside his castmates.

Boseman also founded Xception Content to produce films such as 21 Bridges and appeared in several other major productions before his death. His final role as Levee in the August Wilson adaptation received widespread critical recognition throughout the entertainment industry.
