Police caught a woman selling drugs at her house and she died after eating the evidence. Hezel Titya was 39 years old and lived around Chitungwiza where officers had been watching drug dealers. Another woman named Josephine Tinarwo got arrested first and told police about Titya. Officers set up a trap and called Titya to come make a drug delivery. She showed up but swallowed the drugs when police tried to arrest her.

Police arrested five more people the same day at different locations around the country. Grace Tagara and four others were selling marijuana pills and beer without proper licenses. Officers found them at Mbare Cabins and Redwing Mine areas. The group had various illegal drugs when police searched their belongings.
