The nomination court for the Insiza North Constituency seat opened today at Gwanda Magistrates Court. Richard Sibanda served as the court officer for the session. He began proceedings at 10 am, asking nominees to submit their papers. Two candidates came forward with their documents. Lesley Dube attended as an independent hopeful for the position.
Thabani Mlotshwa represented the Zapu party at the nomination court. Both men filed their papers for the vacant seat. The position opened up after Farai Taruvinga died earlier this year. He passed away in March following a lengthy battle with cancer. The court officially accepted nomination papers from the two candidates.
