Driver Update Hurls Radeon 9070 XT Past RTX 5070 Ti

AMD graphics cards just got a massive speed boost from brand new software updates. The company released fresh drivers that make their latest RDNA 4 chips run much faster than before. Hardware Unboxed tested the improvements and found shocking results across multiple video games. The Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card gained nine percent more power at 1440p resolution. At 4K gaming, the same card jumped four percent higher than previous performance levels.

AMD cards had struggled against NVIDIA competition when they first launched months ago. The RX 9070 XT used to lose against the rival RTX 5070 Ti in most gaming tests. Fresh driver software completely changed the battle between these two graphics cards. The AMD card beats its NVIDIA competitor by three percent at 1440p gaming. Both cards perform equally at 4K resolution after the software update.

Some video games showed incredible performance jumps for AMD users who downloaded the new drivers. Delta Force runs fourteen percent faster on the RX 9070 XT compared to older software versions. Counter-Strike 2 and Spider-Man Remastered both gained over twenty percent more speed. The RX 9070 XT costs one hundred fifty dollars less than the RTX 5070 Ti at official retail prices. NVIDIA cards still win at ray tracing effects despite these gaming improvements.
