Framework stops selling some laptops in US over tariffs

Framework pulled some laptop models from US stores because of new taxes. They stopped selling their 13-inch laptops with Ultra 5 125H and Ryzen 5 7640U processors. They told everyone about this change through their X social media page. Starting April 5, taxes on stuff from Taiwan jumped to 10 percent. This big tax increase affects how much money Framework makes on each laptop.

Before this, the Framework set prices, thinking they wouldn't pay any import taxes. If they kept the old prices, they would lose cash on every computer sold. Framework said other computer companies have the same problem but haven't talked about it publicly. The Ultra 5 125H model has already vanished from their website. Some fancier models like Ultra 7 155H and Ultra 7 165H cost eight percent less right now, making them cheaper for a short time instead of going away completely.

The really fancy AMD Ryzen 7 7840U laptops cost even less, with 10% and 12% off normal prices. Framework shows just one example of businesses changing plans because of US tax rules. Nobody knows when these laptops might come back to American stores. These tax changes keep causing problems for companies all around the world.
