A large group of people walked through the streets on Monday to support General Muhoozi Kainerugaba. They wanted to tell everyone they didn't like how some people were being mean to their leader. These supporters belong to a team called the Patriotic League of Uganda. They planned to walk all the way to Parliament, but they decided to wait until General Muhoozi could lead them himself.
The march made people notice something important. One of the leaders, Mr. Daudi Kabanda, said this showed they could have peaceful walks without making trouble for other people in Uganda. Mr. Kabanda felt upset because some people in Parliament kept saying bad things about General Muhoozi. He told these people they should try running against Muhoozi instead of just talking badly about him.
Another person at the march, Ms. Faridah Nakalawa, said they weren't just walking to defend Muhoozi. She said they wanted to stop bad people from stealing money and running the country poorly. She felt sad because when Muhoozi sent his helpers to Parliament, the people there wouldn't let them come inside.
People in Uganda have done many marches like this before. A long time ago, students walked to ask for freedom from other countries. Later, people walked to work because they couldn't pay for gas. Some people even walked because they didn't want to pay money to use social media. This new march was different because everyone stayed peaceful and happy. The supporters say they will do another march soon, and next time, General Muhoozi will walk with them.
