Goldberg fuels Eagles’ win, fans toast AFCON advance

A beer brand threw a chill watch party for the Super Eagles' AFCON win. Goldberg Lager set up an open-air viewing at Ilubirin Way in Lagos for Nigeria's victory over Tunisia, creating a shared fan experience they called 'Our Beat, Our Gold.' The space featured large screens and music, where fans drank beer and watched the match that secured Nigeria's spot in the knockout rounds.

Celebrities like actor Kunle Remi mixed with the crowd, while entertainment from groups like the Awajo dancers filled breaks. Former striker Brown Ideye also attended. The brand's senior manager, Kunle Aroyehun, said the goal was to reflect the natural rhythm of Nigerian football culture by providing a space for communal connection. Attendees described the event as well-organized and relaxed, with a focus on the game itself. Goldberg plans to continue hosting similar viewing centers as the tournament progresses.
