Guruve killer’s 107-year-old grandma arrested, family fed fugitive

The family of a serial killer suspect got busted for helping him hide. Police in Guruve arrested the 107-year-old grandmother and the siblings of Anymore Zvitsva, who is wanted for killing twelve people, claiming they gave the 32-year-old fugitive food and tips about the massive search operation. This move against his own relatives has made a terrifying situation for the local community even worse, as people are too scared to leave their houses.

The community is basically under siege, with normal life completely stopped. Since the murders started last October and got really bad by late December, villagers have become prisoners in their own homes, afraid to work their fields or tend animals. They now sleep in groups for safety and carry whistles to signal danger. One woman, Edith Guhwa, who lost five family members, said the fear is constant and she worries for her kids. Another local, Edward Gweshe, who knew Zvitsva growing up, described him as a dangerous problem child obsessed with machetes, saying things will not be normal until he is caught.

Despite police using drones, dogs, and tactical teams, Zvitsva is still free. Some villagers are criticizing the search, saying the wanted poster image is over fifteen years old, and he now has a facial scar. They think using local youths who know his current look would be more effective. The victims in the attacks include Grace Zvitsva, Loice Chiringaushe, a five-year-old named Takudzwa Kariva, a two-year-old named Tatenda Chirenje, Tendai Zvitsva, three siblings named Pamela, Kudzai, and Tawanda Chipangura, a 55-year-old woman, and a six-month-old infant.
