Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji has designated Pitas Assemblyman Dato' Sri Dr Ruddy Awah as the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah candidate for the 17th State Election. Hajiji called on Pitas residents to maintain their support for GRS by backing Ruddy when the State Assembly dissolves to allow the upcoming polls. Ruddy won his seat as an independent in the previous election with a 559-vote majority, but he expects to secure more than 2,000 votes under the GRS banner.
