Hosea Chanchez, known for playing Malik Wright on “The Game,” is mourning the death of his father, Ephraim Bristow, who died in a hit-and-run crash in Montgomery, Alabama. Bristow, 67, was struck early Saturday morning on Troy Highway and dragged over a block before the driver fled. Police arrived around 5 a.m. and are still investigating; no arrests have been made.
Chanchez shared his sorrow on Instagram, calling his father a loving man who had overcome addiction. He expressed heartbreak over the violent way his father died, writing that Bristow must have been afraid and wondering if anyone would find him. “He didn’t deserve that,” Chanchez said.
Fans, friends, and fellow actors responded with messages of support. The family has not yet announced funeral plans.
