Chillmaster Pleads Innocent After Fatal Hit and Run Drama

Musician Chillmaster surprised everyone when he claimed he did nothing wrong after hitting a man with his car. The artist, whose real name is Gift Gombarume, faces charges because he drove without a license when he struck Caston Charambira, age 50, who died right away. This comes after Gombarume shared sad messages online saying he felt terrible about what happened.

His earlier Facebook post said he felt deep grief for the person who died. He promised to work with the police about the crash. He also said he wanted to help the family through their hard time. He asked people to forgive him, but knew they might not.

When he went to court with Magistrate Tatenda Mukurunge, Gombarume shocked people by saying he was not guilty. The lawyer asked him to show his license or agree on facts. Gombarume and his team refused both ideas. The case will start trial tomorrow.

The crash happened when Gombarume drove from Stoneridge toward town with three passengers. Charambira walked along the roadside when the car hit him. He suffered leg and head injuries. The funeral took place in Zaka.
