IMF and World Bank could power Zims comeback

Zimbabwe needs help from large money groups like the IMF World Bank for its recovery plans. This message came from former Mozambique leader Dr Chissano, African Development Bank head Dr Adesina, who both work on fixing Zimbabwe's debt problems. Zimbabwe officials went to Washington, DC, for meetings with these global finance groups. Their team talked with the IMF director, Mr Ubise, about money reforms and debt issues.

The country is making progress with land rules, government changes money system improvements as part of its debt fix program. They reached an agreement with the IMF on a Staff Monitored Programme, helping move toward the economic goals 2030 vision. SADC leader Mr Magosi joined efforts asking for more international backing, saying Zimbabwe's success matters for all southern African nations' stability, trade growth long-term plans.

Zimbabwe currently owes about 21 billion US dollars to various lenders. Much of this money sits unpaid, preventing the country from getting cheaper loans from important banks. President Mnangagwa picked these special helpers in 2022 to guide Zimbabwe through its debt clearance process, address financial challenges restore relationships with global money institutions.
