India, Netherlands launch trade panel to boost ties

India and the Netherlands have formed a new committee to boost economic ties. The Joint Trade and Investment Committee was announced during a visit by the Dutch Foreign Minister, with a memorandum signed by commerce and foreign affairs officials. This framework will host annual meetings to address trade barriers and promote investment.

The committee aims to resolve obstacles for businesses, encourage supply chain resilience, and facilitate private sector dialogue. It will specifically support micro, small, and medium enterprises through the chamber of commerce interactions. Officials from both nations will co-chair the meetings, alternating host countries each year.

The arrangement reflects a shared goal of deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries. It is intended to complement existing multilateral engagements and foster sustainable economic growth.
