Intel Fans Flock Back To Raptor Lake Chips

Customers prefer older Intel chips over new models based on recent company reports. Intel faces tough times as buyers choose Raptor Lake processors instead of newer Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake chips. During an earnings call, Intel Products CEO Michelle Johnston Holtahus noted much higher demand for previous models because they help companies sell systems at prices consumers want. She explained that economic worries and tariffs make everyone careful about inventory needs.

Raptor Lake remains popular despite past problems with crashes and performance issues that were never completely fixed. Demand has grown strong enough to create shortages of the Intel 7 manufacturing process used for these chips. Many buyers rush to purchase these older processors before prices rise due to Trump's new tariffs. People hope to grab these capable chips at current prices before supply chain costs increase across the market.
