The club honored him with a video tribute on the Chase Stadium scoreboard following a 4-1 victory over the New England Revolution. Busquets joined Miami from Barcelona in July 2023 and has won the Leagues Cup 2023 and the 2024 Supporters Shield with the team. He has appeared in 107 matches across all competitions for the Herons, recording one goal and 19 assists. The defensive midfielder plans to take a break from football before pursuing coaching.
