Jamaica murders dip below 700 for first time since '94

Jamaica is finally chilling out with the body count hitting record lows because Minister Horace Chang confirmed that the island saw a sub-700 homicide count for 2025. This statistic marks a massive thirty-one-year low, absent since the early nineties. The security official claims the drop represents a forty percent reduction versus the previous year and a sixty percent crash from the wild days of 2009. He credits the sudden peace to throwing cash at the Jamaica Constabulary Force and upgrading over two thousand officers.

Authorities supposedly utilized Project ROCK and fresh surveillance tech to crack down on violent crime while pushing the Live Good Anti-Violence Campaign to fix social issues. The administration congratulated itself for modernizing infrastructure and paying cops better wages to secure this downward trend in slayings.
