James Garuga supports Karamoja transformation

Rich Business Leader Backs Church Plan in Karamoja.

A top business leader said he wants to improve life in Uganda's Karamoja area. James Garuga Musinguzi met with church heads to discuss his aid plans.

The meeting took place at the Kampala Serena Hotel. There, Garuga talked with Bishop Michael Chorey and other church leaders about ways to lift the area.

"Karamoja needs its people to grow strong," Garuga said. He thinks parents must send more kids to school. This could help the area stand on its own.

In 2023, Garuga started helping two students learn job skills at Bbira School each year. He plans to pay for five more students to go to high school.

Bishop Chorey said the church needs friends to help it grow. "We want to work with others," he said. He asked farm leaders to give them big machines for growing food.

The church wants to start a radio station, which could help teach new ways of thinking. They also plan to make their guest house a better place for visitors, which would bring money for church work.

The bishop asked kind people to help train church workers. He wants help to send poor kids to school. He hopes these steps will make the church stronger.

Rev Andrew Agaba leads church growth plans. He said they spent time thinking about how to improve things and made a big plan to help the area grow.

The church works in many places near Moroto. It helps people in Napak, Nabilatuk, Amudat, and other areas. The main office sits in Moroto.

This news shows how business leaders and churches work together. They hope to improve the lives of people in Karamoja.
