Jemimah Rodrigues hypes the blind women's T20 World Cup India-SL

Indian cricket star Jemimah Rodrigues praised the selection of sixteen players for the inaugural Women's T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind. The tournament will take place from November 11 through 25, marking a historic milestone for the sport. Rodrigues, who has represented India in 112 T20 international matches, expressed enthusiasm about the nation hosting this groundbreaking competition. She voiced confidence that the team will achieve victory and bring honor to the country. The Cricket Association for the Blind in India announced the squad earlier this month and initiated tournament preparations.

CABI Chairman Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar recently met President Droupadi Murmu to discuss the event details. India and Sri Lanka will jointly host the competition across New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Colombo. Seven nations will participate, featuring Australia, England, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the United States. The tournament format comprises 21 league matches, two semi-finals, and one final. India previously claimed gold at the 2023 IBSA World Games by defeating Australia.
