Jigawa Cops Crush Illegal Mining Rings

Federal mining officials asked security forces to help stop illegal mining across Jigawa State. Mohammed Muntari from the mines ministry visited the NSCDC headquarters in Dutse on Tuesday. He wants both agencies to work together to protect valuable minerals from criminals. Spokesman Tijjani Badruddeen announced the partnership plans to local reporters. The meeting aimed to create stronger cooperation between government departments.

Muntari praised NSCDC officers for protecting important national resources from theft and damage. He asked security forces to keep fighting against unauthorized mining operations across the region. Criminal miners cause significant harm to the environment and deprive the state economy of revenue. Joint patrols and the sharing of information can help catch these illegal operators. Regular monitoring will ensure mining companies follow proper rules and safety standards.

NSCDC commander Bala Bodinga agreed to provide full support for the anti-mining crime efforts. His officers will help watch mineral sites and gather intelligence about criminal activities. Security forces promised to arrest anyone caught mining without proper permits. Both agencies will hold regular meetings to plan enforcement operations. Community leaders will also join the effort to report suspicious mining activities.
