The company wants people to know ahead of time about these outages, which will occur between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. They sent out warnings early to help customers prepare for these power breaks. The shutdowns will hit parts of Uasin Gishu, Kakamega, Meru, and Embu counties during different hours.
In Uasin Gishu County, the electric company will turn off the power around Moiben Centre from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. This affects Moiben Centre itself, as well as nearby areas like Chebororwa, Kabomoi, and other neighborhoods connected to these power lines. The company needs six hours to finish all maintenance work in this area.
Kakamega County faces an eight-hour power break starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. Customers in Manyulia, Butere Market, Shiatsala, and Butere Girls will have no electricity. The shutdown extends to Namasoli, Masaba, Manyala, and other nearby places using the same power connections during this maintenance period.
Meru County has the longest scheduled outage, lasting from early morning at 8 am until evening at 5 pm. Many places will go dark, including Antubochiu Market, Kaundunyiri Village, Thunguma, and Amwamba School.
