Kikuube District Council signed off on Bunyoro University's master plan after the Ministry of Lands presented the layout for the 100-acre campus. Prof. Grace Kyomuhendo Bantebya said the blueprint shows where everything goes, like the senate building, different schools, housing for staff and students, plus utilities and sports areas. Buhimba Town Council also gave it the thumbs up.
The plan heads to the Ministry of Education next, which will kick off contractor procurement to actually build the facilities. Mayor Musa Mugisa mentioned the community is hyped for construction to start, and local business owners are getting ready to formalize their operations to service the university. Road upgrades around the campus block are already underway.
