A Zimbabwe Republic Police constable died after being shot at Sanyati Police Station by a man wanted for killing Ruwa businessman Joseph Mutangadura. The gunman entered the charge office and fatally wounded Constable Courage Muchechesi, who was serving as duty officer at the time.
The shooter claimed detectives had raided his residence earlier and taken $1,000 from his property. He went to the station seeking the officers and ordered Muchechesi to lie down, but the constable tried to flee and was shot dead.
