Kobina Amissah takes over as Bechem United head coach

Bechem United has hired Kobina Amissah as head coach after dismissing Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway due to poor results this season. The Hunters sit in 16th place with only one win from eight matches in the 2025-26 Ghana Premier League campaign. The club announced that the experienced manager will take charge immediately to reverse their fortunes.

Amissah arrives with an impressive track record of developing clubs across Ghana. He has managed Home Stars, Bibiani Gold Stars, Samartex, Nzema Kotoko, Elmina Sharks, Berekum Chelsea, Sekondi Hasaacas and New Edubiase United during his career. The new coach has earned particular recognition for his ability to guide teams from Division One into the top flight, having achieved promotion with Berekum Chelsea in 2009, Sekondi Hasaacas in 2013, Elmina Sharks in 2016 and Bibiani Gold Stars in 2021.

Amissah will make his debut on Sunday, November 9, when Bechem United meets Young Apostles in their Week 9 match.
