Kwankwaso calls out Plateau for wedding guest killings

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso spoke out against a deadly attack on wedding party members from Kaduna State. The former Kano State governor leads the New Nigeria Peoples Party and made his comments on social media Sunday. Twelve people died when attackers struck travelers returning from a marriage celebration on Saturday. The victims came from Basawa community located within Zaria Local Government Area. Armed groups killed them during their journey through Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Kwankwaso called the violence a savage mob attack against innocent people. He posted his anger about the deaths on X platform and demanded justice for the families. The political leader said peaceful travelers keep dying at the hands of dangerous criminals across Nigeria. He wants both state and federal governments to catch the killers quickly. Police must arrest and charge everyone who took part during this terrible crime.

The senator asked religious leaders and traditional rulers to teach communities about stopping mob violence. He believes education can help prevent future attacks on defenseless citizens. Kwankwaso sent his deepest sorry feelings to families who lost loved ones during the assault. He also mentioned another tragic event that happened the same day when five people died from a military explosive blast at a scrap yard company. The politician prayed that God would give eternal peace to all the victims.
