Kwekwe Horror Crash Kills 12

Thousands of people gathered at a Kwekwe funeral home to mourn 12 accident victims from Wednesday's tragic crash. Three vehicles collided and killed Reward Nyatsongo, Farai Besenti, Beauty Muberekwi, Saturday Moramasa, and Joshua Muza. Maria Jasi, Manuel Magomana, James Ncube, Emmely Fuchewuke, and Violet Juja also died during the collision. Marius Mapanzure and Henry Mutambara lost their lives when the cars crashed together. The entire city felt deep sadness about losing these community members.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa declared the accident a national disaster and approved government funeral assistance. Midlands Minister Owen Ncube explained that officials requested help because many people died at once. He urged drivers to travel carefully as families prepared to bury their loved ones. Government support helped ease the financial burden for grieving families during this difficult time. The president's decision showed concern for citizens affected by the tragedy.

Family members thanked the government for stepping forward with funeral help during their time of need. One relative said the assistance made burial arrangements easier after the unexpected deaths. Another family member admitted they felt lost until learning about the government's generous offer. Road safety experts used this accident to remind drivers about following traffic rules carefully. They stressed that cautious driving prevents unnecessary deaths on Zimbabwe's highways.
