Lion Spotted on Chegutu's Chakari Road, Authorities on High Alert

A wild lion has been prowling around Chakari Road near Chegutu and has terrified local residents. Wildlife officials from ZimParks rushed out a special tracking team after people heard the big cat roaring at night. Fresh paw prints were found around the area, proving the dangerous animal was really there. The beast has everyone scared because it could attack people or kill farm animals. ZimParks spokesman Tinashe Farawo told everyone to stay away from thick bushes and water holes.

Parents must watch their kids closely and farmers need to guard their animals day and night. The lion has not hurt anyone but some people say their goats and chickens have vanished during dark hours. Officials think the predator escaped from a wildlife park or wandered away from its normal hunting grounds. Nobody knows exactly where it came from or when it might strike next. The tracking team is still searching for the animal and trying to catch it before something bad happens.

This scary situation shows how wild animals and humans are clashing more often across Zimbabwe. People are building homes closer to animal territories and pushing into places where lions used to roam freely. Farawo wants anyone who sees the lion to call ZimParks teams right away. The hunt continues as worried families lock up their animals and stay inside after sunset.
