Litton Das dedicates Bangladesh T20I series win to the July martyrs

Bangladesh captain Litton Das honored the July martyrs through his team's historic series triumph against Sri Lanka. The Tigers accomplished their maiden T20I series victory on Sri Lankan territory with a 2-1 result during the three-match contest. Das made this dedication during post-match ceremonies in Colombo following Wednesday's decisive eight-wicket triumph. The visitors completed their remarkable comeback after losing both preceding ODI and Test series against the hosts. Bangladesh transformed their fortunes by securing an 83-run victory in the second match, which marked their largest T20I winning margin against any Test-playing nation.

The final encounter saw Bangladesh chase down their target with 21 deliveries remaining, following their seven-wicket defeat in the opening match. Student-led protests had previously removed the Awami League administration from power last year. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the country during this period of political upheaval. Das connected the team's breakthrough achievement with the sacrifice of those who perished during the July movement. The series victory represented Bangladesh cricket's first successful campaign on Sri Lankan soil across any format.
