Lost Fabio Quartararo blames Yamaha for Indonesia woes

Fabio Quartararo described his Indonesian Sprint as a complete failure after finishing 12th and crashing on the final lap at Mandalika. The reigning champion struggled throughout the weekend, falling to last place at the start due to a clutch problem and a collision with Enea Bastianini.

Quartararo admitted the Yamaha felt terrible all weekend, and he could not improve his performance since Friday's practice. He confirmed plans to use the soft rear tire for Sunday's race after finding the medium compound impossible to warm up properly.

The French rider expressed amazement at Marco Bezzecchi's dominant performance after the Aprilia rider set a new lap record for pole position and went on to win the Sprint. Quartararo acknowledged his struggles with both front and rear tires while calling the bike's behavior unpredictable.

His teammate Alex Rins also endured difficulties after contact with Marc Marquez ruined his race. The Monster Energy Yamaha team faces mounting pressure to resolve performance issues as Quartararo fights to salvage results from a challenging season.
