Famous actor Mikhail Boyarsky needs rest after a serious accident. Doctors told him he must stay off stage for one month because of his injuries. His wife, Larisa Luppian, shared that actors often ignore medical advice. She added that Boyarsky plans to focus on healing despite wanting to perform. The theater director herself holds the title of People's Artist of Russia.
Boyarsky fell at the theater on April 19 and hurt himself badly. Medical staff found he broke a rib and bruised his lung from the fall. These injuries prevented him from acting in Romeo and Juliet at the Lensovet Theater, where he works. Last year marked his 75th birthday celebration. President Vladimir Putin awarded him with a special honor called the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 1st degree.
