Miss Zimbabwe Cracks Top 30 at Miss Universe

Miss Zimbabwe came back home yesterday from a big beauty show in Mexico. Sakhile Dube, who is 27 years old, smiled as family and friends cheered for her at the airport in Harare.

The beauty queen was one of 127 models worldwide at the Miss Universe show. She was happy to see her family again and couldn't wait to tell them about her trip.

"I made lots of new friends from different countries," Sakhile told reporters at the airport. "The whole thing opened my eyes to new ideas." She plans to help young girls in Zimbabwe with what she learned from the show.

The beauty contest boss, Mrs. Baloyi-Chiwenga, was proud of Sakhile's performance. She said Zimbabwe is now better known because of her. Sakhile made it to the top 30, a big win for the country.

Mrs. Baloyi-Chiwenga also said talent hunters liked how well Sakhile spoke. "She made good friends with people who can help Zimbabwe," she added. This could mean more chances for local models in the future.

Sakhile wants to start working right away to help girls in Zimbabwe do better in life. She will team up with the Miss Universe group to make this happen. Even without the crown, she showed the world what Zimbabwe's young women can do.
