Mnangagwa ally Levison Chambati slams calls for ouster

Levison Chambati, a prominent supporter of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, has called on Zimbabweans to end demands for the President to leave office, describing such calls as unfair and unhelpful. Posting on social media, Chambati argued that blaming leaders instead of contributing to national development undermines the country’s progress. He compared current criticism of Mnangagwa to the previous opposition faced by the late President Robert Mugabe, noting that those who benefited from the Land Reform Program later joined calls for Mugabe’s removal.

Chambati said Mnangagwa has established a foundation for a modern and self-sufficient Zimbabwe, but still faces the same opposition. He urged citizens to offer ideas and solutions rather than criticism, highlighting that government officials experience the same daily challenges as ordinary people. Chambati expressed disappointment that some educated citizens focus only on removing the President instead of offering constructive input. He concluded by encouraging national unity and support for policies aimed at empowerment and progress.
