Modi grills babus at PRAGATI, Rs 65000 crore still stuck

Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Wednesday's 49th PRAGATI session at South Block. The digital governance platform connects federal and state authorities to accelerate major infrastructure developments. Officials examined eight significant projects spanning mines, railways, water management, industrial zones, and electricity sectors across fifteen states and union territories. These initiatives represent investments exceeding 65,000 crore rupees and serve as economic growth catalysts for public benefit. Modi stressed that project delays create dual burdens by raising costs while preventing citizens from accessing essential services and infrastructure improvements. He called for outcome-focused strategies from central and state officials to enhance living standards and business conditions. The Prime Minister later posted about the meeting on social media, highlighting the substantial financial scope of reviewed projects.
