Modi trolled as Asia Cup win reignites Pakistan row

Opposition parties condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he compared the cricket victory against Pakistan to Operation Sindoor on social media. AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar argued the match should not have occurred following the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 people. She questioned how terrorists crossed borders with weapons, and she criticized diplomatic decisions regarding Pakistan. Congress spokesperson Shama Mohammed called the decision to play shameful during military operations.

India defeated Pakistan by five wickets on Sunday at Dubai International Stadium to claim their ninth Asia Cup title. Kuldeep Yadav captured four wickets during the bowling effort, and Tilak Varma scored 69 runs without losing his wicket to secure the chase of 147 runs. Rajasthan opposition leader Tikaram Jully congratulated the team, but he expressed concerns about competing against Pakistan.
