Museveni picks Mugyenyi and Apecu for ISO roles

President Museveni picked Arthur Mugyenyi to lead the Internal Security Organization as Director General. The position opened up when Brig. Gen. Charles Oluka died earlier this year on January 29. Mugyenyi already works at ISO as a Director and previously ran Internal Security operations in Mbarara District.

The President made more changes to the security agency leadership team. He named Tony Kinyera Apecu as the new Deputy Director General at ISO. Apecu replaces Col. Emma Katabazi, who moves to a diplomatic job. State House announced yesterday afternoon that Katabazi will serve as Deputy Ambassador somewhere.
