Myanmar joins regional education talks, explores academic collaboration

Education leaders from Myanmar flew to Brunei for the biggest school meeting in Southeast Asia. Deputy Minister Dr Zaw Myint led the team to the fancy conference hall where eleven countries gathered. The Philippines education chief kicked off the event and talked about important school business. Ministers from every nation picked Brunei's education boss as the new conference leader. Everyone agreed the choice made perfect sense for running future meetings.

Dr Zaw Myint stood up and told everyone about Myanmar's master plan for better schools. He explained how the country wants to help millions of students learn more and live better lives. The plan covers everything from kindergarten classes to university research programs. Myanmar aims to make education fair for all kids regardless of where they live. The deputy minister promised his country would keep working hard on these goals.

Conference attendees reviewed 39 different reports about education projects across the region. Vietnam scored the chance to host the next major meeting scheduled for 2027. The Myanmar team spent extra time touring Brunei's top university campus. They checked out classrooms and talked with professors about working together on research. The visitors paid special attention to how girls participate in science and math lessons at local high schools.
