Nagad, the Bangladesh Postal Department's digital financial platform, recorded its highest monthly transaction volume ever during October, processing over BDT 34,705 crore. This milestone exceeded its prior record of BDT 34,000 crore set in March 2025 and reflected substantial growth from BDT 32,000 crore in June 2024. Disbursing government allowances to 7.9 million beneficiaries significantly boosted the figure, alongside routine services like cash transfers, bill payments, and mobile recharges.

Daily transactions peaked on October 15 at BDT 1,645 crore. Billah noted that continuous service improvements since Nagad's launch have driven rapid user expansion, with thousands joining daily through its mobile application.
