Two brothers facing charges in the high-profile 2023 killings of South African rapper Kiernan Forbes, known as AKA, and his friend Chef Tebello Motsoane, have been extradited from Eswatini and arrived in South Africa. Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande and Malusi Dave Ndimande were transported by a specialized Interpol unit to King Shaka International Airport in Durban, where authorities planned to process them before their initial court appearance. Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said the pair will answer to approximately 27 charges spanning three separate cases, including the double homicide outside a Durban restaurant, a 2022 taxi industry killing, and another murder involving a taxi driver.
Investigators believe one brother fired the fatal shot that killed Forbes, and authorities have recovered a weapon connected to that incident. The suspects, arrested in Eswatini in February 2024, dropped their extradition challenge in October 2025. Mathe characterized the operation as high-risk and described the accused as contract killers, emphasizing that the prosecution aims to deliver justice for victims' families while preventing further violence.
