Netanyahu backs Trumps plan to displace Gaza civilians

Israel's leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, wants to help America's President Donald Trump, move all the people out of Gaza. He talked about this with Marco Rubio, a very important American helper, in Jerusalem on Sunday.

Trump thinks America should take over Gaza and send its two million people to live in other places nearby. Many important people say this idea breaks the rules. They tell us moving people away from their homes against their will is wrong.

Rubio said Trump's plan might have shocked people, but he thinks it takes courage to try new ideas. Netanyahu liked the plan and said he would help make it happen. He also said he wants Hamas, the group that controls Gaza, to free all the people they captured.

The fighting started because Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023. They killed many people and took others away. Israel then started fighting back very hard. Many people died in Gaza, and most had to leave their homes. The buildings broke down, and people could not find enough food or medicine.

The Palestinian people and their friends do not want Trump's plan. They say their land belongs to them and they will not sell it. Rubio did not talk to any Palestinian leaders about what should happen next in Gaza.

Israel just received big bombs from America. Trump said they could have these bombs after the last president, Joe Biden, said no. Israel's defense leader thinks these bombs will help them fight better.

Hamas said Israel broke their promise not to fight by hurting three police officers on Sunday. Israel said they only attacked people with weapons. Both sides agreed to stop fighting on January 19, and they should not fight for 42 days. Netanyahu will send people to talk about peace in Cairo on Monday.
