Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro fired back at government critics after officials missed the handover event for a new administration building on Wednesday. He paid for the one-story structure near Murang'a town through the Kiharu NG-CDF fund. This building will house several local offices, including the Assistant County Commissioner and the divisional Lands registry. The event should have drawn many high-ranking leaders, but just one person from social services showed up.
Nyoro asked other leaders to respect each other despite their different views on issues. He said he feels no anger about losing his job as Budget Committee chairperson last week and promised to keep serving his community the best he can. The government replaced him with Alego Usonga MP Sam Atandi as part of removing allies of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
"Respect matters greatly, even for people you think aren't important because you never know their future," Nyoro told residents near Murang'a town. He added that Kenyans gave him the chance to serve, and he wishes his replacement good luck. He offered to help his successor with his experience if asked, saying he wants what God blesses.
Nyoro stressed he plans to avoid arguing with other politicians about his removal and instead focus on helping Kenyans. The second-term MP said he has avoided disrespectful language throughout his career. He believes leaders must treat each other with dignity and says people shouldn't mistake his respect for fear.

Nyoro opened a new administrative building and talked about his accomplishments, including paving streets in Murang'a town neighborhoods. He explained that his decision to install tile floors in primary schools came after visiting South Africa's well-kept Camps Bay High School.
"I add tiles to motivate students to study harder," Nyoro said. "We built seven new high schools already." He expressed gratitude for serving as an MP despite his carpenter father's humble background. He credits education for his success and calls it his top priority for his district.
