Alex Otti from Abia State rolled up to see President Bola Tinubu in Abuja, and everyone thinks it has everything to do with getting Nnamdi Kanu out of prison. The IPOB leader got slapped with life behind bars for terrorism stuff, which set off a bunch of protests and people demanding his freedom.
Otti had just gotten back from checking on Kanu at the Sokoto lockup, and he brought along the guy's brother plus some legal heavyweights from the state government. The governor told people he is working every angle to spring Kanu loose while the convicted separatist still has the option to appeal.
Nobody knows what went down between Otti and Tinubu yet, but it looks like part of a bigger play to sort out the whole mess through political channels at the federal level.
